Conventions Attended

  • Dr. Saylor and team attended the Florida National Dental Convention in Orlando June 14-16, 2007. Everyone attended classes and were able to see new technology and dental items.
  • May 6-10, 2008 - Dr. Saylor and team attended the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Scientific Session in New Orleans, LA. This is the top dental convention for cosmetic dentists. The focus this year was on direct bonding, new techniques in shade matching and natural looking aesthetics. Dr. Saylor and team took courses featuring several world renowned speakers in these subjects.

Seminars Attended

  • November and December 2008 - Dr. Saylor will be instructing other dentists on cosmetic dentistry for Frontier Dental Lab in California. This will be a hands-on course where each dentist will do 8-10 veneers on the patient they bring to the course.
  • August 7-8, 2008 the Fourth Annual Staff Retreat was held at the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota.
  • April 18 & 19, 2008 - Dr. Saylor attended the DURAthin course in Nashville, TN. This is exciting new technology to provide highly aesthetic cosmetic veneer restorations without preparing the tooth; similar to Lumineers but 10 times better. Because the DURAthin veneer process requires special attention to detail and advanced knowledge of materials and techniques, only dentists who have participated in an intensive DURAthin course are certified to provide these services to their patients. Dr. Saylor is certified.
  • March 27-29, 2008: Dr. and Mrs. Saylor attended the Rosenthal Alumni meeting in West Palm Beach, FL.
  • January 25 & 26, 2008: Dr. Saylor and his wife Kristen attended the James Hollis event in Dallas, TX. This is sponsored by the Schuster Center for Professional Development.
  • September 14 & 15, 2007: Dr. Saylor, Louise and Vickie attended The Art of Digital Photography in Chicago, Illinois. The instructor was Chris Hammond, DMD. This course was presented by the Hornbrook Group, Center for Advanced Clinical Education. Great photography is essential for good communication with the dental lab to ensure good color match and contours for natural looking porcelain crowns.
  • August 20-22, 2007: Dr. Saylor attended the Restorative Connection for Mastery Level Treatment Planning presented by Dr. Frank Spear’s Seattle Institute. Dr. Saylor and 12 other dentists met in Seattle and did treatment presentation and case review for 2 complex cosmetic and restorative cases.
  • May 16-18, 2007: Dr. Saylor attended the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in Atlanta, GA.
  • May 8-11, 2007: Dr. Saylor attended Advanced Occlusion in Clinical Practice presented by Dr. Frank Spear’s Seattle Institute in Seattle, WA. This course covers complex bite problems and severe and premature wear of adult teeth.
  • April 19, 2007: Dr. Saylor’s team attended Franklin Covey’s Focus, Achieving Your Highest Priorities Workshop in Tampa, FL.
  • April 18-21, 2007: Dr. Saylor attended a course at the Schuster Center for Professional Development in Scottsdale, AZ.
  • In his pursuit of accreditation in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry during this year Dr. Saylor has attended numerous cosmetic dentistry courses in Seattle, WA., Scottsdale, AZ., Las Vegas, NV., and Grand Rapids, MI. just to name a few.
  • April 12-15 and May 3-5, 2007: Dr. Saylor was an instructor at Dr. Larry Rosenthal’s Aesthetic Advantage course in New York.
