This gentleman discovered our practice while searching online for a cosmetic dentist. He had been thinking about a smile makeover for a while, and after meeting our team, he decided that he was in the right place! Jerry had his four front teeth removed by a hockey puck when he was a young man. Originally, he wore a removable partial and had two permanent bridges over the years. His existing bridge was 20 years old, and he felt that it was time for an update. He wanted a much lighter shade, and in order to do that, we included the two premolars on each side. We made the teeth about 1/2mm longer and slightly shortened his lower front teeth with crowns and a bridge. This gave him a better arch form and a more proportioned, fuller smile. Jerry is very pleased with his new smile and flashes it every chance he gets!

When Julie first came to us, she had a chipped front tooth. Unfortunately, this was a sign of a more serious problem. What you cannot see from her smile picture is the areas of severe acid erosion on all of her teeth. That, paired with an unstable bite, is the recipe for disaster. Following medical testing with her physician, it was determined that she did, in fact, suffer from severe acid reflux. To repair the damage, we placed crowns and veneers on 10 of Julie’s upper teeth and 4 of her lower teeth. Several composite restorations were done as well. This patient had several old restorations in the front of her mouth which had become unsightly and discolored. Many old amalgam fillings in the back teeth were long overdue to be replaced. In general, she needed to update her restorations for health and cosmetic reasons. We were able to effectively do this with 17 crowns and porcelain veneers. The “old” Judy was wonderful. We first saw this patient in 2006. His exam revealed several missing teeth and advanced wear on his front teeth. We know that without a full complement of teeth the remaining dentition has to take on the additional load and the wear becomes worse… a continuing cycle of breakdown. He understood what was happening, but the timing was not right for him to begin treatment. During this time his job took him out of state. He was doing a lot of public speaking and teaching and decided (four years later) it was time to get his mouth looking good and feeling good. Twenty-two units of crown and bridge have been done and at the time of these photos, we are waiting for integration of several implants. He is looking better than ever and is on his way to predictable dental health.

This patient had an existing crown and a bridge that replaced the missing lateral incisors. She had one retained primary tooth, and the other, which was extracted in her early twenties, was replaced by a Maryland Bridge. As you can see, the restorations were quite discolored and no longer fit sufficiently at the gumline. We were able to provide two, three-unit, all-ceramic bridges, resulting in a beautiful outcome. This patient had veneers and crowns on her front teeth that were 20-25 years old. At first glance, her smile appears very nice; however, as you can see from the retracted view photo, she has areas of recession around her old dentistry. This patient was not happy with the color and chipped edges of her front teeth. Her exam revealed significant enamel wear on the inside and edges of her six front teeth. As the teeth became more and more worn down, her lower front teeth started to supererupt (elongate out of the bone). We know that this situation causes a cycle of destruction. Therefore, to give her the brighter, fuller, healthier smile she wanted, we would need to restore the entire upper arch. A combination of bridges, crowns, and veneers was prepared, and three weeks later, her case was finished! As you can see, we were able to give her the smile she had dreamed of for a long time!

This young lady had composite bonding done twice on her two central incisors. It chipped off again, and she knew she was ready for a more permanent solution to her problem. She had previously undergone ZOOM teeth whitening, but was not satisfied with the results. Although she was concerned that veneers would appear too bulky, we were able to achieve minimum-prep veneers on 10 teeth, which broadened her smile and added the length and lighter color she desired for a beautiful result. After bonding the veneers, we performed in-office KoR whitening on her lower teeth, which brought the shade of her lower teeth up to match the shade of her new top teeth. This nice man’s primary complaint was that he did not show any teeth when he smiled. The edges of his front teeth had become worn and chipped. As you can see from the “before” photo, he displayed just the edges of his teeth when smiling and had to make a real effort to smile big in order to show even that. We determined from a mock-up done in composite that we could add almost 2.5 mm to the edges of his front teeth and create a very natural-looking smile. Because we were only adding back what was lost over the years, we were able to be very conservative with our preparation. Eight Durathin Veneers were placed for a beautiful result!
